| I have been using basecamp for years now and was always satisfied with how it helped my team and I to keep organized when tackling complex projects. I have used it for everything from school projects to launching my latest business. Now with the new version of basecamp available I am happier than ever. The 37signals team addressed all of the issues that I had been facing with the original and then some. Now more than ever I have the right tools to be an effective manager thanks to this great project management suite. |

| While there are many more complex applications out there web app or otherwise none comes close to the simplicity of Basecamp. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to just "get it" right off the bat. The design elements are so well thought out and obvious to anyone. What makes it stand out from the rest is that it strips out many details that would otherwise serve to clutter the project and hinder an efficient way to get things done. Being a web application Basecamp is able to cut corners and simplify project to-do lists while enabling an extra layer of live communication between clients and the project team. Essentially it melds an IM client e-mail client and a project to do list/note taking platform into a single cohesive application. The ability to fully interact with clients to exchange ideas in near real-time levels is essential to getting it right the first time around. Further integration with other services like campfire and back further solidify the simplistic approach while not sacrificing the GTD approach. | |

| If you are wanting a really robust and glorified checklist, then Basecamp is the service for you. If you are wanting a real project management system that measures efficiency of resources, has and integrated CRM, cost analysis, and multi-layered time-keeping functionality, then you will need to look for something else or begin adding on additional services to integrate with Basecamp. The pros of Basecamp are that it has high usability for what it can do. The site is clean and the even newer redesign has some real sharp-looking design. It is quick and really functions well to keep tasks and communication about those tasks moving. In our organization, those working on the tasks seem to love it. However, those who are doing the projecting and analysis, do not. It simply does not offer true forecasting or a way to solve more complex project management problems. For what it is, it is great. And what it is, is a souped up checklist app. |

| Basecamp is an easy to use project management tool that allows us to easily manage 40+ projects at the same time. Generating user accounts and access is easy and the email reminder system allows our account managers to relax a bit - less manual work for them. In the few cases where we needed support, the staff was friendly and quick. All over recommended. |
