Description:Birst is a business intelligence platform with hooks to many ERP and CRM systems, as well as several relational databases. It supports big data via Hive/Hadoop and XMLA cubes. It has interactive and customizable dashboards and provides relational OLAP, multi-layer caching, SQL optimization, pre-aggregation and in-memory analytics. It also provides what it calls “solution accelerators”, which come bundled with a set of pre-built metadata, data transformations and metrics. |

| Initially we identified with data we want to get out of Birst. Then we identified what current systems we need to link to birst. Based on that we were assigned a team to build and implement the system. There was high level of customer service from the team that was assigned to us. The team lead came on sight to train and launch the program to the business. We are very satisfied with the Birst team and the high level of customer service still continues; when ever we have a problem Birst is there to help and resolve the issue with the system. | |

| Implemented end-to-end supply chain visibility in less than 60 days. Ridiculously easy to implement and maintain. Entire platform maintained by one resource. | |

| We were assisted by (we paid for it) Birst Technical report writer. They helped us get started with some reports of our sales data. The training was satisfactory and it took time to develop some advanced reports. There were many times when I needed to help of support to understand how to create certain functions in Birst. I also used their Wiki area. The Wiki gives you some good info, but not always clear or complete. The customization ability is very good. I was able to do some advanced functions, but not always without help. The cloud solution allows us to keep getting a fresh product with enhancements without the effort of maintaining it ourselves. We have expanded from sales and use the tool for inventory and order inquiry portal. Customer support isn't always what it should be. Although many of our issues get resolved, communication is poor and we don't always know what is happening with our ticket. This aspect is what hurts the product overall. The ability to have our sales team and other remote users to access the information without installing any application software is the feature we like the most. We can create a variety of dashboards and allow users from around the globe get access 24x7. | |

| Customer Support: Excellent Training: Excellent, but real success probably won't be had by point and click developers Level Customization: Excellent Additional Resources: I relied on their support and documentation. Somembody who already knows BI tech would probably find it easy. Integration: Salesforce.com | |
