| Since implementing Marketo, we've seen huge changes, both in our insight into leads and in our Sales and Marketing alignment — and, we started seeing results within the first 6 weeks. Before Marketo, the first time we heard from people was when they filled in a trial request for our software on our website – and this was effectively a “surprise”, because they weren’t on our radar prior to this. Now we engage with people earlier, and this means we have more visibility over what’s happening. Using Marketo's lead scoring we can start to see the people who are most engaged and when they request a trial (a) it’s no longer a surprise and (b) we know a lot more about them, based on the number of pages and types of pages they’ve visited previously on our website. This means we can get a pretty good feel for the quality of the opportunity. Interestingly, the number of trial requests we’re getting has dropped by about 20%, because previously people were requesting trials before they were ready to engage with us (which wasted their time and ours), so the trend we’re seeing is that the quality of our trial requests is improving – and with the automated follow-ups we’ve put in place trough Marketo, we’re allowing our sales team to spend more time focusing on the genuine opportunities. |

| Marketo offers powerful features and a easy-to-use user interface for tracking and capturing leads over your website, through customized landing pages and nurturing your lead database over email. Creating landing pages, web forms and emails are as simple as creating a slide with PowerPoint. Landing pages and forms are created by dragging fields onto a palette and a simple Word like editor enables you to create professional looking HTML emails from a template. Putting together campaigns and executing them are just as intuitive. Choose your audience through a Smart List, Tell Marketo what you want to do with this list like "send email" using a a Flow and then set a time to schedule or activate it. The one thing I was impressed with besides the product was the great support Marketo provides. The online community is one of the best. Excellent tips and tricks from both Marketo users as well as Marketo people. I highly recommend evaluating Marketo if you have a need for marketing automation, especially if you are a Salesforce.com user. |

| We have been using Salesforce and Marketo for about 9 months now. We are a small company (less than 25 employees) that develops online music courses for college/university instructors to adopt and offer as their own. Given the large number of colleges/universities, and even larger number of instructors - organizing and identifying which prospects we should focus our efforts on, was a huge challenge before implementing Salesforce and Marketo. Before Salesforce and Marketo, it was very difficult to manage an inventory of just a few hundred prospects - after Marketo our inventory of prospects is over 4,000 and growing. In addition, because there wasn't an effective way for us to prioritize one prospect over another, we spent a great deal of time manually prospecting and individually emailing instructors to request campus visits (where we demonstrate our courses and hopefully win an adoption). As a result, it took a lot of leg work just to secure a half dozen campus visits each month. With Marketo, I can now segment our list of prospects based on location (great when you are planning a trip around a specific territory or conference/trade show), activity, interest, etc., and end up with dozens of requests for campus visits each month. Our sales team is having trouble keeping up with the results of our marketing efforts, which is a wonderful problem to have. :-) |

| Marketo has helped us automate/manage our entire marketing process - including marketing automation, lead scoring, email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing asset management and much more! To have all of our marketing process and workflow in one tool, the tool continues to help us be efficient and effective as a marketing team! We use all aspects of the tool and are able to automate the majority of our lead generation process - it is a very intuitive, user friendly tool and I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for a all in one tool to help them automate and measure demand generation programs! | |

And the supporting resources -- Knowledge base, Community discussion boards, and Support team -- have all contributed to my learning more powerful features and functions as I'm ready to implement them. The integration with Salesforce has allowed us to create a variety of campaigns to handle lead scoring, synching with Salesforce when a lead is ready to be contacted or nurtured when not far enough through the purchase cycle. We have a small marketing team but have been able to create a sophisticated and broad reaching marketing program by using Marketo.
