| I installed KineticD (formerly Data Deposit Box) on my PC about 4 years ago. The process of downloading and installing was really straightforward and requred little technical expertise. The thing I really like about the application is that it automatically start when the PC is switched on and you are not using. I have used the application very simply, just for back up. The process of selecting what you want folders you want to back up is really straightforward. You can also amend this at any time which can be helpful if you decide that you are backing up more than you really need. Overall I feel that this produc gives peace of mind in a very affordable way and does what it promises. | |

| The setup process was very easy to follow and took very little time. The one time I contacted customer support they were friendly and helpful. Problem resolved. There is little to no training needed to set up the service and use it. The level of customization was one of the key factors in my deciding to purchase this service. I needed to be able to back up my jump drives and KineticD is able to do just that. I can also pick and choose which folder and files within the folders to backup. No additional resources were needed. The features I use the most are: backup and file sharing I am extremely satisfied with the service. I have all my files safely backed up, I am able to share files with others, and I can pick up files if I am out of my office as long as I have access to the Internet. All-in-all I am extremely happy with the service. |

| For this review of KineticD, I have been using this product for a number of years when it was formerly known as Data Deposit Box. For the price per GB this provided good value for customers in the UK. The setup and installation is pretty much like any other program, after installation you login to the application and can setup the parameters. You can specify what folders are to be backed up, how many versions you wish to backup, it can also backup open files too. When choosing what time to back up your files, like with any other backup application, I find that this product comes into its own genre by offering block out periods. This basically is an inverted backup schedule, whereby you specify do not back up any files during business hours and to continuously backup files round the clock. You have total control on processor and bandwidth utilisation, so it doesnt bring down your network and services if you chose to backup during the day. I have used this product primarily to backup production servers, you can backup mapped drives and even an Exchange database via an NT Backup file, whereby only the incremental changes are uploaded daily. Assuming youve had a disaster and need access to your files, you have the ability to login via the website and download your files from their web interface anywhere. On the few occasions where I have required expect help from KineticD support, they have been outstanding every time. They truly know their product inside out and have been able to resolve the issue on the first call, which is a big time saver. Overall I'm very happy with the service, price and functionality of KineticD and would gladly recommend this to anyone from a simple home user to a SME company. |
