RingCentral: Great Forwarding Solution

I split my working time among my home office, my office office, and working remotely. RingCentral is a great solution that allows my clients to reach me anywhere. Unlike Google Voice, Ring Central allows me to forward my number to a dozen different phone numbers and I can customize quickly. I can also move my calls from one line to another simply by entering in the preset number combination.

One of my favorite features is RingCentral's faxing service. Once you set it up, you can simply send faxes by emailing the document to the fax number.

My only complaints are that (1) the web interface is pretty clunky and you can get lost trying to figure out how to customize something and (2) the iPhone app doesn't allow for the same level of customization, often requiring you to go online to change your forwarding settings. The iPhone app does have a great VOIP feature though, allowing you to make calls over wifi from anywhere. This is especially useful when traveling abroad.

RingCentral answered a need for an affordable 800 service and the efax option was a bonus!

I was looking for an 800 number solution following the 2005 holiday season and came across RingCentral. It has been everything and more than what was promised. The customizations from special answering rules for the phone, to being able to forward incoming calls for two distinctly different types of home-based businesses has been incredibly easy to set up. I have rarely needed to call customer service as most issues are explained in the account view on RingCentral's site.

I have two businesses where I do pay for a local phone number for the yellow pages ads and business listings in the local phone book, but those numbers are also forwarded to extensions on my RingCentral account seemlessly and are answered with customized messages for those business both for answering and while holding to find me....and I can be found on my home phone, or my cellphone! Additionally, there is the pop-up app on the computer that can tell me who is calling. If I am on another call, I can quickly select "Call Me Back in ..." and select different intervals such as 5 minutes....or "I will call you back..." Very intuitive. You can also block and allow numbers via rules you can set up. Don't want calls from a certain number in the evening? Not a problem. Set custom rules for that! Have a repeat salesperson calling? Add them to the block list. Such power!

I also have recently added the iPhone app. Since it can run off of a wi-fi connection and we are in a bad connection area for cellphones, I can still reply to calls using the caller ID name for that incoming call. So, even though my calls may be forwarded to my home number, I have the option of calling them back over wi-fi using my iPhone and have the selected callerID for the business showing - rather than my home number.

Ring Central just keeps growing and amazing me!

I have been with RingCentral for 6 years now. The quality of phone service, cost, features and customer support is phenomenal. When I was seeking a phone service, I tried many others and no one offered what RingCentral does for the price they charge. They have grown over the years but have not sacrificed in support or quality. I HIGHLY recommend them!

I actually come previously from the voice services (SaaS) industry so was familiar with the service as they were a competitor to the company I use to work. They offer a very reasonably priced solution for small business. I am just utilizing the fax service as I get a 1-800 at a very reduced cost from my previous company (cost) so they couldn't beat that as I have low volume on it as most of my customers are local. The fax service is downloadable and creates a little application on your desktop where you can see the faxes you send and receive. You do not need to be experienced to do this. You basically either attach a file or scan a file and attach it and it provides you a cover sheet and a way to store all of your frequently called called numbers.

I am a small business consultant so am a huge advocate of SaaS services especially voice applications for small businesses as it is very affordable and does not require someone with high technical skills to set up. They basically pay for what they need.

I find Ring Central's staff very helpful whenever I have had a question and very friendly and would recommend their company and products to others.
